Harrison High Adventure Base

Since 1978, our High Adventure Program has been the premier council-operated destination for older Scouts and Venturers in the country. Now in our 30th year of High Adventure Treks, we continue to set the pace for innovative, exciting programs.

Participants must be 13 years old by June 1, 2014 or have completed the 7th grade prior to arrival at camp. The 2014 options include numerous backpacking opportunities as well as rock climbing, canoeing, Boonesboro Village and the 5 days 5 rivers Whitewater Rafting Trek. The Hike/Raft Trek has been revamped to offer scouts 3 rivers to raft in 3 days and 3 days of backpacking.

Whether you need an activity for your older scouts while the young ones are earning merit badges, or wish to provide a two-week summer adventure for your Venture crew, our High Adventure Base has exactly what you're looking for.

All treks leaving Camp Daniel Boone will be accompanied by a trained staff member. Our guides assist in leading the group through the wilderness, providing necessary first aid and emergency care, and instructing participants in skills essential for navigation and survival in a wilderness setting. The patrol method is utilized on all expeditions and leadership development is our goal.
