June 18th Update
By Sheltowee @ 7:53 PM :: 304 Views :: 2 Comments ::

Another fine day at camp with still no Scouts reporting any flu like symptoms. Scouts worked hard toward their merit badges today, some caught their first fish, some finally reached the top of the rock wall and all got to witness Mother Nature unleash her might in a magnificant thunderstorm late in the afternoon. Things dried out in time for the troops to cook jambalaya back in their campsites and have troop campfires, relaxing in the cool night air with fellowship among themselves. Hard to believe week two is nearly over.

I took my troop to CDB for the first time this past sunday. I am very impressed with the staff, not just a bunch of kids, but mature young adults that can keep a class attentive and learning the scout skills, and yes a few grey haird folks just to make things real intresting. The web page is really inovative, cool! i wish i could have stayed the week but thankfully i have a great staff in my troop and was able to share the fun with other parents/ leaders. i know the boys are having/had a geat time. Thanx all! (i wished i had not missed the blue grass band, maybe next time)

Each year we have our Annual Planning Conference to plan the campouts for the coming year. All campouts for the year are decided by vote of the boys in the Patrol Leaders Council. The first decision is where to attend summer camp. Unanimous for Camp Daniel Boone for the past 22 straight years! Now you know why!

Top Reasons to Attend CDB

Great High Adventure Programs for older scouts and Venture Crews + great base camp program.
