Since 1978, our High Adventure Program has been the premier council-operated destination for older Scouts and Venturers in the country. Today, our High Adventure program has been in operation for over 40 years as we continue to set the pace for innovative, exciting programs. 

Participants must be 13 years old by June 1, 2027 (preferred), or be 13 by your Troops arrival date for Camp Daniel Boone. 

Whether you need an activity for your older scouts while the younger ones are earning merit badges, or wish to explore the mountains of North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia during one of our week-long programs, our High Adventure Base has exactly what you’re looking for. 

Treks leaving Camp Daniel Boone will be accompanied by a trained staff member. Our guides assist in leading the group through the wilderness, providing necessary first aid and emergency care, and seeking every opportunity to turn an outdoor experience into a learning situation. We continually use the patrol method on all expeditions and leadership development is our goal.
